IE Home Page resets itself to "Coolsearch"

IE Home Page resets itself to "Coolsearch" each time the
computer is shut off. I try to reset it to Google, and it
will remain the Home Page until I shut off the computer
again.

An article in the local paper presented a fix for this
problem, but when I tried it, I ended up with the same
problem after shut down. The advice was to hit the start
button, clickon HKEY_CURENT_USER. Click on the + signnext
to software, then the + sign next to Microsoft/Internet
Explorer/Main. Find Start Page, double click it and enter
the site I want. (i.e. Google). I did that and also
changed the offending ISP wherever it appeared in the
Main menue. (It also appeared in the Search menu). All to
no avail! After shut down, the same web page came up.

HELP! What else can I do?

Run the "Cool Web Shredder"
check for update first.

Close all instances of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express,
click on the executable above and follow the prompts.

Note: this type hijack indicates an unpatched machine, that is lacking
in "Defense". Please visit Windows Update to avoid these exploits.
