File and settings transfer wizard

I used the file and settings transfer wizard to get the important data from my machine before I did a format and a new XP Pro install. Everything came over except my outlook pst file (very important). When the FSTW runs it unpacks the .dat files and installs the stuff. It then erases the temp files. If I could have the files NOT erased, I misght be able to mannually get my .pst file. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try unloading to my documents or to a new folder,then use search t
locate the files extract them,then unload data.

I do not understand what program I could use to "unload" the .dat file, which is compressed or what program would "uncompress" the .dat file. Any thoughts
