Norton found a virus in my machine but it will not let me
delete it, Quarintine it, or clean it. I am geting flooded
with pop ups, script errors, Internet Explorer pop up
messages even when I am not signed on to the internet. I
did a windows search and found it also but it would not
let me get rid of it with anything I tried. Please help me.

Try booting into safe mode and trying Norton again.

To enter safe mode, restart your computer and just after the computer
finishes displaying the BIOS and before Windows starts to load, tap F8.
Select Safe Mode.
