Zip Drive

I just inserted my 250 disc into my Iomega 250 Zip drive before the pc had
finished start up it came up with some sort of warning & now only says
BOOTEX when I go to open it

it seems I may have lost all my photoes my other disc still works I have
tried system restore etc

I would remove the zip drive disc and reboot the machine
