I think this hotfix mess up my drive. After installing KB820888 on my Win 2K system,
which was an NTFS update, I received a CRC error on my hard disk. Chkdsk generated the
following errors:

I backed out KB820888 and scheduled chkdsk to run again on startup. It cleaned everything
up, although I now have bad sectors marked on my disk from this whole affair.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Eric,

Take a look at the message I posted here at 7:16pm this
evening (Subject: System Instability Following Update
(KB820888)). It sounds as though we both have drive
errors as a result of installing KB820888.

If you find out anything, please pass it along. I'll do
the same.

Dan
