Zip drive and USB > Parallel port adapter...

Gordon J. Rattray

Hi there,

I have a Zip 100 Parallel drive and trying to hook it up to a newer computer
that doesn't have a parallel port on it, laptop....

So, I am trying to install the Zip 100 Parallel drive, got the Iomega
drivers installed, but it won't recognize the Zip drive. When I plug in the
USB adapter with the Zip drive connected, it recognizes only the adapter.

How can I get the Zip drive to function as a separate drive like it normally
would?

Thanks,

Gordon

That's probably a lost cause, attempting to USB convert a Parallel ZIP
drive. You'd be ahead to just get a USB drive instead.
