I am trying to eMail a Power Point Slide Show to a friend which is 34,501 KB.
I right clicked on the file and used the Send To feature to send it to
Compressed File which is only 434 KB's smaller. Am unable to send the file as
it is too large for my server. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for any help.

In zixca had this to say:

My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:

What are you doing wrong? Trying to email a ~34 MB file...

ZIP is compressed. PPS is already compressed. Try compressing a MP3 and
you'll see that sometimes the result is actually larger than the original
file. Why? Because the format is already compressed.

Share it another way...

See www.rapidshare.com for instance. Upload it to your website if you have
one. Use an instant messenger client. You can zip and zip and zip and it's
not going to get small enough to fit through your email probably unless you
have your own host and they have their own host and your hosts don't
restrict file size.

Galen,
Now I know...thanks for the information. I'll burn the slide show to a c.d.
and give it to my friend :)
