I bet we have quite a range of interests on this site, so I thought it would be interesting if we all share what they are :D

If I'm not working, I'm normally tinkering with computer stuff or designing/building something. Used to have quite a few nights out with uni people, but now most of them have moved away with jobs so I'll have to wait until Sept to meet a new batch of PhD students!

Oh, and Newcastle United matches

Yea me too, Anything to warn off the boredom

Actually did a Karaoke night last night for a friend in a club..

Most of the singers were bloody awful, but a couple were ok. I guess in the long run its worth it to see 1 or 2 really good ones. Runner up prize was a case of WKD Blue, First prize was £100 cash. The winner was made up, she couldnt believe it lol. Her jaw dropped when I told her Final was 11th September and prize was £500 :D

I also help out in Rhyl on Sunday nights doin Karaoke too. Tis all good fun ;)

Been up to quite a bit really - had a party here the other night because the rents went away... been working a little bit more than usual, been out with several different mates on a few occasions taking photos, went and saw Pirates OTC 2 with Lisa the other night... I like driving around too...

hmmm

Well I spend most of my life playing guitar, which never gets boring. No one has house parties in the summer holidays, but during the year that takes up a few nights. When we get bored we go watch a film, or walk around doing nothing really until 1-2am, then we go to someone's house, do nothing for a while longer and then go home. Aside from that we just sit in the pub for the evening. That was basically all that happened June through July.

Im so cultured. :p

Well, I've only had my 2nd cuppa this morning, so my brain hasn't quite kicked in yet but I'll give it a go...

Surfing the web would be high on the list
Reading when I can find the time
General mucking around with my children
Going out, our local, or dinner, or dancing
Walking & going for drives
& always take my camera
Painting (Of course)
Rowing & watching Videos/DVD's
Talking & listening (people can be amazingly fascinating)
periodically mutilating the garden
Surfing the web (did I mention that one?)
& Ask any Australian... Kiwi's always have 'six' between 5 & 7 ;)
Listening to music
Swimming/snorkeling in summer
Oh, & surfing the web... wouldn't want to miss that one ;)

I'm sure I'll think of more later, but that's what I can think of now

Right now... trying to learn how to use XP.
As a confirmed Mac user I am finding this quite a task.
But I haven't killed anyone yet, so that's ok.
My ex teaches Comp sci at the uni & he always used to say that
his theory was that the reason people kept on using wndows
was because, after all the trouble they had to go through to learn the system, they were f*ckd if they were going to let it all be for nothing
mind you, these days, although he teaches all three systems, he does almost all of his work in Linux
&, going by muck's siggy, I suspect that that has the same psychology.
In the meantime I am learning windows.
As I figured that, after years of criticising the system, I should at least know what I'm talking about
Asides from that, most of my time at the moment is being taken up by family.
And I'm hoping to be able to start another painting soon.
This one's been sitting in my head for weeks now
& if I can't get it out on paper soon I'll lose it :(

I see you said you paint Taffy :)
I would be interested in seeing some of your paintings if you would like to put some of your photos up? :)

edit: One thing I can't get over is how different things look, especially graphics & fonts, but also some layouts (including this one) on a windows machine compared to a Mac. I must admit I always thought such things would look much the same regardless of what type of computer your were on.
