You do not have permission to access your central profile located at

Percy Walls

The following conditions exist:
mixed client(win2k SP3,XP SP1)network on win 2k servers
receiving AD services from campus.
Applied sp4 to server containing users roving profiles.
Group policy fixed to not check for ownership of existing
profile folders.

Intermitently we have users receive "You do not have
permission to access your central profile located at"
errors when attempting to log in on xp machines, and
after installing SP4 to the server, no one with roving
profiles can log into a win 2k box. but still seem to be
able to log into an xp box.

I found this fix entered by Scott Macneally

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\POLICIES\MICROSOFT\SYSTEM\
"CompatibleRUPSecurity"=dword:00000001

Has anyone tested this?
