SUS is not working - help pls

I deployed SUS on our LAN. I installed SUS10SP1 in Windows
2000 SP4 member server without any error message. Our
environment only runs in NT4 domain and no active
directory. The options are set to synchronize from
Microsoft site and download updates to local directory.
Software update service synchronizes successfully with MS
update site.

I set our XP Pro SP1 and W2K Pro SP4 clients to check
updates daily from our local W2K server. I set the
settings in the registry as below:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update]
"AUOptions"=dword:00000003
"DetectionStartTime"="2004.06.03 07:41:11"
"AUState"=dword:00000002
"LastWaitTimeout"="2004.06.03 19:47:12"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Win
dowsUpdate]
"WUServer"="http://cobalt"
"WUStatusServer"="http://cobalt"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Win
dowsUpdate\AU]
"NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers"=dword:00000001
"NoAutoUpdate"=dword:00000000
"AUOptions"=dword:00000004
"ScheduledInstallDay"=dword:00000000
"ScheduledInstallTime"=dword:0000000a
"UseWUServer"=dword:00000001
"RescheduleWaitTime"=dword:00000005

As per documentation, it may take 24-48 hours before
client computers could pick up the updates, but it almost
a week now, no updates are downloaded to client PCs from
our local server. Auto update service in client PCs are
running OK. Can anyone help pls?
