yahoo messenger not opening links

I am using vista.. When I first installed yahoo messenger I was able to click
on the mail icon and be directed to my mail. I cannot do that anymore with
the mail, viewing profiles. ALso the same with trillian. It all worked
before. I am not sure if I did something or not but any help would be nice

I also am having problems with messenger. I can open it up fine but cannot
view profiles, get on the help tab, etc.
