Yahoo file upload error

Please can somebody help me. I tried to send a file through to a friend using
yahoo IM box but it would not send, it asked to upload it which it did. I do
not know where the picture uploaded to, and cannot find it. Somebody
contacted my friend saying that they saw the file. It is a personal business
file and i need to locate it. It did say the following but i can not remember
it all http://us.yahoo i think. Thank you in advance.

You send a file via Yahoo messenger, and now the file is no longer in the
location on your system that it was when you sent it?

I would look in the Recycle Bin
