XPe installation CF switching

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to take a working XPe installation
on CF and put it in another system.

I have the following situation:

1) image built on PC
2) image transfer to HDD
3) FBA does its work on HDD
4) image is resealed an copied to CF
5) image is finished on CF
6) XPe boots

When I put the CF in another system (other physical hardware), it
boots okay. Now when I put it back in the original system I get a
black screen. Just 10 mins ago it still booted but now nothing...

Any explanation for this ?

It could be a graphics card issue. We have a system here which has an
alarming tendency to try to display to an onboard graphics card that
hasn't actually got a connector on.
If it's a fairly full build I'd say try putting VNC or remote desktop on
it before you move it about, and see if you can VNC in and get a result.
That way you'd be able to see what it thinks its graphics device is in
the control panel.
