If your goal is to dual-boot between 32-bit and 64-bit versions of
WinXP, you'll need a full version of each (Or an upgrade version, if you
also have a qualifying earlier OS). You'll also need to install the
32-bit edition first.

Are you really sure you have the 64-bit XP operating system? I've seen
plenty of new Acer laptops, and they all come with XP Home 32-bit
installed. Your laptop may have an AMD 64-bit processor (many Acers
do), but that doesn't mean you have the 64-bit operating system. Let's
clarify this for you before you do something for which you'll be sorry
(like getting 64-bit XP and finding out that Acer hasn't written any
64-bit drivers for your laptop's hardware).

I am running Pro Tools with a Digi 002. Digidesign doesn't have an update
for xp64 yet and haven't given a projection. I'm thinking I will have to go
back to xp 32 or be able to at least dual boot.
