XP2 UPGRADE WHAT

Hi, Can you answer this please and advise.
I have been reading the newsgroups for all the things I can find about
Service pack two and seeing as I have a slow connection I decided to send
for the upgrade disk.
I received the Free Windows XP Service Pack 2 today and thought right we
will give it a go, I booted the computer and inserted the CD only to get the
message "Autorun experienced a problem" and stopped.
Shot in the foot before I even start, any ideas guys??.
Below is a read out of my set up extracted from Aida 32

Auto run huh, have you tried to go to
start>>>my computer>>>right click on the drive with the
SP2 disc in it and select open.
this will cause it to manualy run.

That doesn't work either I'm afraid, all it does is open the disk to show
the contents.

The only way I could get the CD to start as it should was in Safe Mode.
However I opened the Cd and clicked the file XPSP2.exe.
"IT HAS INSTALLED SP2" and all seems to be working ok up to now.
One thing I noticed:- Drive C: before installation 3,797,763 KB
Now Drive C: 6,696,779 KB Quite an increase, there must be some files that
can be cleaned up from the installation??
