Driver Headaches with new box - please help !

I decided to buy a high-end custom gaming rig that shipped with Vista,
which I immediately wiped and installed XP SR2 for application
compatibility reasons. I have gone to great pains to use all the
updated drivers (including using the driver update tools like Driver
Genius and Driver Magic) and I still get system crashes about 2-3
times a week, especially when playing graphic intensive games. The
error message after the crash consistently identifies the problems as
driver related.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a way to update all drivers
easily and effectively ? Do old drivers require removal before new
ones are installed ? I need some help to better experience my major
investment.

Have you tried the Drivers section on the Windows Update site. There is a
new search engine that will let you search for specific device driver
availability. Start/All Programs/Windows Update.
