XP will not allow me to open emails i save to my documents

I am using xp pro, outlook 2003. The emails I transfer from my laptop to my
desktop (same software) that I want to save will not open. I go to my
documents and in the file I have saved them, click on the yellow envelope, it
opens the "choose profile" which I click "OK" and nothing happens. I cannot
open any other email unless it actually comes into outlook as the primary
email, if there is an email attached I cannot open it.
I have done the attachment security setting, the remove the Google add
in......still nothing. It used to work fine.....
