I really want to know why my mouse cursor has suddenly started disappearing
requiring reboot by keypress or hard boot!

WHY and help please as same error in XP general!

There's no error on that URL, it loads perfectly. That narrows it down to
an error/conflict in your pc settings.
If you can't find the actual problem via Device Manager, reinstall XP?

conclusion reached is that the mouse was faulty and was obviously causing
that problem, I think.
