HELP!!! problems playing Microsoft's Games after installing SP 2

After I installed Microsoft's second Service Pack for my OS, Windows XP Home,
I get this stupid error when I try to play AOM or Rise of Nations. A box
pops up and it reads "Access Denied: Please login with administrator
privileges and try
again" I've tried to figure it out and with the help of a few MVPs on this
site all I've figured so far is that there is no reason as to why I should
not be able to play my MS games. Now I'm looking for help in other forums.

Below is a couple of links to what has been discussed about this problem so
far so that way I don't have to repeat myself all over again (trust me it's
alot and in detail).
