XP Upgrade

I have 2 computers w/ Win98. I have just upgraded 1 to XP
Home. Must I buy another upgrade to do the 2nd one? Also,
If 1 computer is not online how does it get activated?

You must by another upgrade license, yes.

Yes. that is why activation was introduced, to stop people installing
one copy to every machine around. Windows is provided on a license to
use one copy for one machine only, and has been for more than ten years

At
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Activate Windows
take the option to activate by phoning in. You will be given a toll
free number to call, briefly explain circumstances and then res out a
long number , check it back, and receive another in exchange to type in.
Under 10 minutes
