XP Update KB900485

When you do update through "MS windows update" in which folder is the update
placed in?

The reason I ask, update KB900485 has been installed however I keep getting
a notice that my system requires this update. I have uninstalled KB900485
(restarted computer) numerous times, then reinstalled I still get the same
update. My thought: erase the update in the folder where it is placed and try
again.

Or

If you have had the same problem how did you fix it?

Windows Update uses a folder,called WUTEMP.But Once updates are
successfully installed, you won't find any EXEs there.

Instead of downloading the update from the Windows Update site,download
and install the same update from the following link:-

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...bf-b240-4a34-ae0e-798cded8cbaf&DisplayLang=en

I have had several customers with the same problem. The only solution that keeps the Update
Notification at bay is to go to the Windows Update site, uncheck the update, and check the box,
"Don't show this update again", then click "Review and install updates". You'll get a warning
that you've hidden important updates. Since you know what it is, you can ignore it.
