Problem With Windows Update KB900485

I have downloaded and installed update Windows Update KB900485, Error
message in Windows XP Service Pack 2: "Stop 0x7E", about 5 times. Every time
after my computer restarts the little yellow shield is in the tray signifying
that an update is available. It's always KB900483 again, please advise.

I also have a problem with KB900485

Did you finally solve this problem? I cannot get MS to quit repeating this update. It is slowing down my accessing the internet.

I don't even have to restart the computer.

I run the update and the icon disappears from the sys-tray. 30 seconds after completing the update, the icon re-appears.
