I was looking into speeding up XP, I followed up on some
of the tips from TweakXP and it helped. The question I
have is what processes are supposed to be running on
average. I checked before I used some of the tips and it
was around 50, now it is around 100! Does this slow down
the computer? Thanks

If you look in Task Manager>Processes you can see which ones are using
up CPU cycles. But don't mess with them
unless you are certain that they won't be needed. Better to go here
www.blackviper.com and check to see what
Services you don't really need.

Do Start-Run and type in "MSCONFIG". The last tab to the
right, called startup, is where you will find all the
applications that are being loaded at startup. Uncheck
them and reboot.
