XP SP2 Install fails - need help with svcpack.log

I ran a SP2 update on a machine last night (9/30) and
found it had hung and not finished this morning. I
started it at 8:00 PM an here's a section of svcpack.log
that looks odd...

2942.313: Starting process:
C:\WINDOWS\ehome\medctrro.exe -UnRegister
2942.313: Return Code = 0
2942.313: Starting process:
C:\WINDOWS\pchealth\helpctr\binaries\HSCUpd.exe -i
C:\WINDOWS\pchealth\helpctr\binaries\hscsp_w3.cab
0.000:
==========================================================
======================
0.000: 2004/10/01 08:18:44.953 (local)
0.000: Executing script \SystemRoot\sprecovr.txt
0.047: Deleting c:\program files\common
files\system\ado\msado27.tlb

it seems to have stopped at the line 2942.313 on the
hscupde.exe command.......any ideas why it may have
stopped here?
