XP SP2 install fails at 'EventMessageFile' error

Hi All,

When trying to install XP SP2 over the top of an up to date SP1 setup,
I am getting an error as follows:

'Service Pack 2 Setup could not backup registry value
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\Security\Security\'EventMess
ageFile\'.
5: Access is denied'.

Looking in the registry, this value does not exist and any attempt to create
it fails.

Additionally, if I 'ignore' this error, setup runs to completion, fails and
uninstalls.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Resetting permissions to default fixed the problem.
