Hey,
I tried to install XP SP2 onto my PC >. here are the specs ...
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ cpu
1 gigabyte PC3200 RAM
ABit KV8-Max motherboard (network and sound onboard)
Asus GeForce TI4400 video card
Hitatchi (IBM) 80 gig HDD
Plexwriter 708A DVD recorder
The service pack installs and asks me to reboot. It then reboots to a light
blue screen that says "please wait" ... after a moment it then goes to a
blue screen with a STOP error but does not state which file was at fault.
If I reset the machine here, it gets into windows for a moment, but no icons
appear, and then it blue screens again with the same error. Luckily, I was
able to System Restore to before the SP2 was installed, and my machine is
working like it used to.
I am wondering if anything can be done about this problem, as I would like
to have SP2 on this machine
Thanks in advance,
RaYzor
