XP SP2 and Norton Antivirus

I've installed the release version of XP SP2. I now get
the following message from the Windows Security Center:

Norton Antivirus reports that it is installed, but its
status is unknown.

I'm running NAV Pro 2004, and it is up-to-date by
LiveUpdate.

When will Norton (or Microsoft) release a fix for this?

Symantec have advised that they will get around to an upgrade.
Meanwhile it is not something to bother about, it just means you need to
check updates for yourself, as before. In Security Center, use the
'Change way S C alerts me', on the left, to turn off this AV alert
