XP SP1 will not install

SP1 goes through the install process then restarts but when it has restarted it trys to down load SP1 again. When checked SP1 is not installed......any ideas??

Same thing happened to me, I got around it by not using the install thing
that IE uses, but downloaded the file on my regular browser then installing
it like I would anything else I downloaded using start/run. It took several
hours to install.

You may have something running that is interfering.
