IE will not work after installing SP2

I have tried everywhere. When I install SP2 on my SP1 Home Edition, Internet
Explorer refused to open. It's in the Tasklist but will not open on the
screen. I need to install the new MESSENGER so I can chat with my wife when
she's not home but it will not let me install on SP1. I can't install
either one so why will IE not work at all.

If IE is in the taskbar, then it is most likely off-screen.
Press Alt+ space bar to get the menu and then press M for move.
Using only the arrow keys, see if you can bring it back onto the desktop.
SP2 has not been known to damage IE.

That only works with Internet explorer 6. I installed IE7 in hopes that
would have fixed my problem but it still will not open. It's in the taskbar
but not on my screen. I go to my task manager and end process and get the
error message "send error report" or "Don't send"

Ignore any advice from pcbutts. The guy is a well-known troll and

Not yet, anyway.

I have done all that several times. I always clean my cache, history etc
everyday. I have run several scanners...nothing shows up. This morning I
formatted my hard drive, put a new copy of windows, then updated to SP2 and
Still Internet Explorer will not work. It works fine on my laptop and my
wifes computer but not mine. I'm using Opera Web browser now just so I can
get on here. My computer is not an OLD one....only 1 year old.

Very impolite to answer a question with a question. If you refuse to answer
that's one thing but, your response perpetuates
you making an ass of yourself.
