Computer restarts during installation of SP1

For whatever reason... i have no idea i just realized im running strait winxp
pro... with no sp's. so... i am trying to install sp1 and while its doing
its thing my comp restarts itself at the same point in the installation each
time(estimating how much space it needs to do the uninstall of sp1)

the same problem happend when i was trying to install AutoCAD 2006
yesterday... kept restarting during the same point in the installation.

Any ideas?

Not really an answer to your question, but just a note to make you
aware of the fact that if you intend to install SP2, then you may as
well skip SP1, as it is included in SP2.
