.net SP1 error installing

I am unable to install the .Net SP1 update from MS's website; I get exception
errors; is there a way to tell if XP is "corrupted" somehow?? My cpu
restarted several times during the OS install and found out it was
overheating. Fixed it with better CPU heatsink/fan, but still unable to
install the .Net SP1
Thanks!!

Hi Kevin,

What is the precise error message?

Thanks, but I decided to go another route; I did a fresh install as I was
told that the CPU was overheating during the install and restarted several
times, as well as during updates on the MS website.. I believe it was some
kind of memory exception error, but that's neither here nor there
now............... but thanks anyhow.
