XP Setup in Continouous Loop

I am trying to load XP Pro SP2 onto a new system.
The hard disk in a new Maxtor 200GB.
The setup starts and goes through the copying files and then loading files
and then goes right back to the beginning.
It then see’s another installation of XP even though it never completed it.
The hard disk has been checked out ok and has been tested using the ‘Master’
option and the ‘Cable Select’ option.
I have tried loading XP SP1 and XP SP2
Windows 98 loads onto the system with no problems.
Does anyone know what is causing this problem? If I was to make a guess it
would be to do with the disk been so big, but that’s only a guess.

Did you try using the Maxblast Software available from Maxtor?
