XP service pack 2 download

I have Windows XP home edition running on my home computer
and have automatic updates set. I have a 56k dialup
connection. Several weeks ago I accepted the 75Mb service
pack 2 download for XP which I then understand downloads
in the backgroup every time I am connected to the
internet. I still haven't got a message that the download
is complete. Is there anyway that I can check if the
download is still proceeding and how much has been
downloaded so far?
