Can someone help please?

When i try to run restore in xp it will not run. 1st it
tells me to restart, i do and it still won't run. when i
try to run it from the sys info tab it gives me this
message. An exception occured while trying to
run "C:\windows\system32
\shell32.dll,Control_RUNDLL "C:\windows\system32
\sysdm.cpl",System". Could someone please tell me how to
fix this problem?

Disable and Stop the System Restore Service at Control Panel |
Administrative Tools | Services

Check Turn off System Restore on all Devices at Control Panel | System |
System Restore

This will clear all your restore points cache. Reboot. Turn them all back
on. Reboot. Try again>
