XP repair greys out internet connection choices

P

Paul

I repaired an XP Home installation, only to return and
find out it deleted my DSL internet connection.

When I start the internet connection wizard and
prompt 'set up connection manually' the top two choices
at next dialogue box are greyed out -- one of them being
connect using a username and password for broadband. (DSL)

I don't have my ISP's CD as I never use their
software ... I always setup my own connection with XP.

Please help...!

Thanks

Known problem on some systems. Steps to fix are in the following MS
