xp remote access help

Hi,

I have a question regarding XP remote access. Any assistance is
appreciated.

I have XP Pro on my PC . I want to access a PC about 900 miles away
from me
that has Windows XP Home Edition.

I know you can access each others PC if you both have XP Pro but that
is not the case here. I don't want to sign up for gotomypc just for
this.

Is there any other way to do this without purchasing additional
software? Is there a download that any of you know of that Microsoft or
elsewhere might have to help resolve my situation? As I mentioned, I
have XP Pro, the machine I need to access has XP Home.

Hi,

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. I was thinking, can't I use netmeeting
since it's already part of Windows? Is there any advantage or
disadvantage to using it instead of the recommendation of realvnc?

Using anything else built-in to Windows will require someone at the keyboard
to allow permissions at the time of logon.
