XP PST Import Not Compatible with "this" version (Office XP)

Surely there must be a way to import my PST file into Office XP? The PST
file comes from OfficeXP, was backed up; at which time I did a clean build of
my system only to find out that I am not able to import the PST file.
Didn't Microsoft test for this scenario? What is the solution? I am
running OfficeXP and XP Pro - the PST file comes from the same 2 programs.

Are you sure? Check your versions again. This error message arises only when
you try to import a PST file from Outlook 2003.

Exporting and importing is a very poor choice for transferring PST files.
Now you see why. Just copy PST files and open them in another installation.
If you are migrating from Outlook 2003 to an earlier version, you must
create your PST in "Outlook 97-2002" format so that it will be accessible.
