This maybe a stupid question but a friend of a friend installed xp pro on my
system, now cant get hold of them and need to have administrative access to
in/un install programs !
Please help wot can i do ?

You could try to access VIA the built in Admin account.
If you use the welcome screen then when it comes up hit CTRL+ALT+DEL twice
this will bring up the login dialog box (if this box is up when you start
the computer skip that step)
In the box type "Administrator" for the user name and leave he password
blank
Assuming this friend of a friend that apears to be an enemy didn't create a
Admin password
then pressing ENTER should get you in as Administrator.
Now go to Control Panel > Users and create a username with admin priveledges
for yourself
and then reboot.
