Windows XP Pro, won't let anyone login to the system. As soon as you enter the password it appears that it is going to log you in, then it flashes the desktop, the your back to the login screen and it says "Saving Settings

Don't have the OEM disks from Dell (they didn't supply them) how do I get back into the system

Thanks for the help

I just want to know where you got a Dell that didn't come with the CDs....
You'd have to remove them from your order, I would think.

You need to do a repair install.

I tried the repair install from my Dell OEM disk.... it didn't work. I log-in, I see my wallpaper for 2 secs, it logs out "saving settings". It does this for all accounts, even in safe mode.

I've got a machine with the same problem that I just restored
with a ghost back up. The owner said they thought they got
a virus. I'm guessing it's one of the new viruses floating around
out there that did it.

Hey,
I had this problem too. I got a solution courtesy of user "Taurarian"
