Had same problem with a unit at work - pulled the disk
drive, put in another system with matching OS, ran virus
scan on that drive, found nothing, then manually copied the
missing files from the root of the working unit to the root
of the crippled unit. I think there were about 5 files -
ntldr, msdos.sys, io.sys, ntdetect, and boot.ini
No troubles since.
Please tell me that there is not simply a disk in the
floppy drive... lol same error generated w/ that
