xp pro wont start

pc won't start and I get the message:ntldr missing.
I can't find my startup disc,does anyone know where I can
get one?
 
Hi toby,
if you have XP CD it will act as start up disk.
Set the BIOS to boot from CD before Hard Disk. Insert the XP CD
and,instead of Setup, take the immediate R for Repair.

Use the copy command to copy from the CD (assuming letter X: for the
drive)

COPY X:\i386\ntldr C:\ntldr

silly question have you left a floppy disc inserted ? I get lots of calls for this error and 9 out 10 its floppy
