XP pro install problem with Standard PC

recently i ordered a new PC with 915 chipset. And i reinstalled XP because i
need standard PC mode. But after i selected standard pc in setup prograss,
the setup hang up with message "starting the windows" after having copied
some files. If i setup with normal mode, everyhing is ok. I installed several
PC with standard PC on 865 chipset before, no any problem. So i wonder
whether 915 chipset support Standard PC?

What's the advantage of the Standard PC HAL? (You mean not ACPI,
right?)

this PC connected to a test equipment, so we need most power for all terminal
of this PC.
