XP pro cant boot.

I have an XP pro computer that stopped booting. (cant find boot disk)
I tried the reinstall from the original XP Pro upgrade disk and it appeared
to be accessing the disk and installing all files but it still will not boot.
How can i create a boot CD so i can get my files from the disk before i
replace the hard drive?

Boot to xp cd,press r key for recovery at menu screen,select 1 for C:
press enter key for password,type:Fixboot Agree,type:CHKDSK C: /R
Once its thru,type:EXIT Let xp start-up,remove xp cd.
