XP post-installation problem

i was running windows ME and just installed windows XP SP2. everything
loaded but i don't have my icons, programs, etc. that i had before. where
are they and how do i get them back?

You removed all that stuff, all your data and all the programs on the
machine when you formatted the hard drive and installed XP. It's all gone.
You will have to get all your application disks out and reinstall
everything.

If you didn't perform an upgrade, you'll obviously need to reinstall
any applications that you wish to use with the new OS.
