XP partitions problem?

After using Nortone System works 2006 to do a disk check and doing what
it recommended with some sort of re-working the partition table, my PC
will not boot correctly. If I do a restart, it hangs where it says
"Verifying DMI Pool, boot from CD". If I do a complete shut down and
restart, then it boot up OK, but in either case there is a constant
beeping, 2 tones back and forth like an ambulance. I tried a system
restore but nothing changed. Any suggestions?

If the beeps are from the computer speaker,then youre hearing warning beeps,
chk youre computer mfg web site to decode them.
