XP/Novell Question

Sorry if this isn't the correct forum. I have a general question. A friend
of mine has about 10 workstations he just upgraded from Win98 to XP. These
machines were previously used in a mixed Windows/Novell environment. The
company has retired Novell and he is now asking me "what do I need to do to
completely uninstall anything Novell related (e.g. clients, networking
properties) from the XP machines?

Can anyone make suggestions?

Thanks

You might tell him that XP prof permits a max of 10 simultaneous connections
(IIRC, that includes things like shared printers), so he may be pushing the
limit in trying to network "about 10 workstations." (XP home is limited to 5).

Is the Novell client present? If so:

Right click on My Network Places, Right click on Local area connection,
properties, find the Novell client for Windows in the list of intalled
components, select it and click Uninstall. You will need to reboot.

And also removing the IPX protocol at the same time (if it is present)
would be something to consider.
