Problem on Client for Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 in Windows Xp

Hi
After we installed new novell small Business suite 6.5 in the new system, we

set up workstations with new Novell Netware client(version3.4 for windows

98, version4.9 SP1 for windows XP).

All windows98 workstations work fine in the new system and are able to map

one driver to snap server.

But Windows Xp workstations with version4.90SP1 do not work. The problem is

that Windows Xp workstation takes long time to login the Novell SBS6.5

server, also unable to find snap server that locate in the Novell SBS6.5

system.

If we use Microsoft client service for Netware in Windows Xp workstation, we

are able to login Novell SBS6.5 quickly and map to the snap server. But the

problem of Microsoft client service for Netware in Windows Xp workstationis

is that calwln32.dll was not found when we access Netware Administrator

If anyone has any experience and suggesstion on the new Novell Netware

client for winXp, we really appreciate your help. Some people suggest me install SP1 on the server, I am not sure what it means

I believe that if you use the IP address of the server vs.
the server name it will work. this is a known issue at
Novell. You might want to contact Novell for support.
Hope this helps...

Is this windows XP Pro or Home edition? If they are Home it won't work,
period. XP Home does not support Novell networking. If Pro what
protocols are being used? Always do a Custom install of the client, not
Typical, and select the protocol(s) used on the server. Also check the
NIC link speed and set either to Auto or to match the server and
switches/hubs in the network.

Also ask in the Novell support forum for client and OS. Don't have the
address here for the forum but you can find it at www.novell.com, look
in support options.
