XP Networking problem - connecting to W2K Server

Hi,

I run a small office network with several clients (all W2K Pro) all
connected to a W2K

Server (SP4).

Just recently we added a new PC which has XP Pro loaded (this is the
first XP Pro client in the office).

The problem is the new XP Pro client cannot map network drives
succesfully to the W2K Server.

I can go to explorer, select map netowrk drive and supply the correct
user/pass and all appears fine.

BUT...

When I select the newly mapped network drive in explorer, the system
hangs, requiring me to

reboot?

I'm really stuck her, any thoughts?
