XP login slow

Hi,

I have a IBM thinkpad laptop having problem with windows login.
If the laptop connected to the network, then the login is ok.
if I unplug the network cable, after keying in the password, it takes long
time to get into the desktop screen.
Anyone can help?

This is normal. XP sees the NIC and is trying to create a connection and takes awhile to timeout. One workaround is to disable the NIC in Network Connections when it is not in use.

Sounds quite normal. Your laptop is looking to connect to the network,
and is doing it's best to do so. It sounds like your laptop is in
perfect shape and doing exactly what it's designed to do.

AS I said I got 2 laptop which is same in spec and program installed is
same. but another doesn't have this problem.
