Hi ,

I have Windows XP Home edition on installed on my laptop.

After loading new software it wont display the login.

The computer does boot and i am able to access the shared
folders from the network.

I tried all the boot options like safe mode , last know
good configuration etc but still i am not able to log in.

Anyone has any ideal why and what is the solution.

Pl. dont tell me to rebuild my machine.

Thanks in advance.

Assuming we're talking about the Welcome screen, go to Control Panel, open
User Accounts, click "Change the way users log on or off," place a check
next to "Use the Welcome screen," then click Apply Options. If that option
is already selected, remove the check, click Apply Options then check the
option and click Apply Options and see if that resolves it.

If not, try using System Restore to take you back to a time prior to when
this began:
Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
